Rahel will speak in the session Engaging a population in movement. Her presentation “From screen time to active time: how influencers motivate inactive adolescents” will draw on her recent research published in Frontiers in Public Health (2024), examining the role of influencers in motivating adolescents to be more physically active. She will explore the science of social influence as a powerful tool in public health.

Rahel Aschwanden works in applied research, combining methods from psychology and economics with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Her expertise lies in behavior change and social marketing, with a particular focus on promoting healthier lifestyles.
Her current research focuses on behavioral change in the health sector, especially among young people, encouraging increased physical activity and balanced nutrition.
