Jitka Mach Semotamov\u00e1 holds a Master\u2019s degree in Special Education & Fine Arts, and a Federal Diploma in Art Therapy. She is a researcher, art therapist, and artist, as well as the founder of ViMou, an innovative therapeutic tool that invites users to reinvent movement.<\/p>

Since 2005, she has been teaching contemporary dance and developing inclusive artistic projects. In 2010, she founded the Dance and Disability<\/em> festival in the Czech Republic, bringing together over 70 dancers with and without disabilities\u2014an initiative that reflects her deep commitment to embodied expression and inclusion.<\/p>

Trained in various artistic techniques, Jitka combines dance, psychocorporal structuring, and creative practices to support self-expression, body awareness, and the reconstruction of one\u2019s connection to self. Her approach explores the influence of imagery on body schema, perception, and self-expression, with the goal of improving both mental and physical well-being.<\/p>

Since 2011, she has been integrating motion capture technology into therapeutic practice to strengthen the connection between physical and symbolic work. Her tool, ViMou, enables real-time visualization of movement, stimulating creativity, mirror neurons, and emotional regulation. Its applications extend to psychomotricity, art therapy, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.<\/p>

Supported by The Ark Foundation, in collaboration with HETS Geneva, HES-SO, CDTEA Valais, and CimArk SA, ViMou is currently being developed within the field of psychomotricity.<\/p>

Jitka continues her research to provide professionals with an immersive and evolving tool, integrating the collection and interpretation of therapeutic data.
