Frank Rouiller is a Swiss entrepreneur and co-founder of BoxUp SA, a startup launched in 2020 that installs automated \u201clocker stations\u201d providing free access to sports and leisure equipment (balls, rackets, games, etc.) via a mobile app.<\/p>

The idea was developed during his Master\u2019s in Innokick \/ Integrated Innovation for Product and Business Development (HES-SO) together with co-founder Florian Voumard. The project originated from a master\u2019s thesis inspired by a study trip to China, which sparked the concept\u2019s creation.<\/p>

BoxUp quickly gained academic and entrepreneurial recognition, earning several awards and grants in its early years - including BREF First Venture, Venture Kick, GENILEM-HES, and the Raiffeisen Sustainability Prize - as well as other pre-funding programs that enabled the development of the first prototypes and pilot installations.<\/p>

Since its launch, BoxUp has conducted numerous pilot projects and deployed stations in several Swiss municipalities before expanding internationally. Today, the company operates hundreds of stations across eight countries worldwide.
