Dr. Henrik Bj\u00e4rtun is a medical doctor and specialist in internal medicine. Three years ago, he founded Medoma, a company that enables hospitals to deliver inpatient care in patients\u2019 homes.<\/p>

The first Hospital at Home programme was launched at St G\u00f6rans Hospital in Stockholm, the largest emergency hospital in Sweden, in October 2022. To date, over 600 patients have been treated successfully in their homes.<\/p>

By combining advanced technology for logistics and coordination with new ways of working, the company has demonstrated that hospital-level care can be delivered safely and efficiently in the comfort of the patient\u2019s home.<\/p>

During his presentation, Dr Bj\u00e4rtun will explain how Medoma offers direct access to a medical command centre, monitors vital parameters remotely and manages advanced logistics. He will also shatter the myths about hospital at home, demonstrating that patient safety is equal to, if not better than, traditional care.<\/p>
