Pioneer of the Hospital at Home model in the UK<\/strong><\/p>

Prof. Daniel Lasserson is a passionate advocate of the Hospital at Home model, an innovative alternative to traditional hospital care.<\/p>

He runs a Hospital at Home service in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and is a past president of the UK Hospital at Home Society.<\/p>

In his presentation, Professor Daniel Lasserson will explain the concept and clinical evidence for providing acute medical care at home. Thanks to advances in diagnostic and monitoring technologies, it is now possible for many patients to be assessed and treated outside of hospital, if they so wish.<\/p>
