Solomzi Makohliso est le directeur adjoint du Centre EssentialTech \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL), o\u00f9 il participe activement \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation de la recherche de pointe pour d\u00e9velopper des innovations technologiques susceptibles de faire progresser le d\u00e9veloppement durable, de soutenir l\u2019action humanitaire et de favoriser la paix. Il poss\u00e8de une vaste exp\u00e9rience de l\u2019entrepreneuriat international aux \u00c9tats-Unis, en Suisse et en Afrique australe.<\/p>

Ses int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels comprennent l\u2019innovation et l\u2019entrepreneuriat pour un impact durable, avec un int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier pour la sant\u00e9. Il a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de travail minist\u00e9rielle charg\u00e9e de la valorisation de l\u2019innovation technologique pour le gouvernement sud-africain et a occup\u00e9 par le pass\u00e9 divers postes de conseiller en mati\u00e8re d\u2019innovation biotechnologique, ainsi que pour la mise en \u0153uvre de la strat\u00e9gie sud-africaine en mati\u00e8re de nanotechnologies. Il a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 conseiller du gouvernement suisse pour l\u2019\u00e9tablissement de la strat\u00e9gie de coop\u00e9ration bilat\u00e9rale avec l\u2019Afrique du Sud dans le domaine des sciences, de la technologie et de l\u2019innovation.
